Never imagined myself ending up in Bangkok – but there I was, taking in all the music and culture of Thailand while I was at the Bangkok Strings Festival. Consisting of only seniors in our orchestra, I was lucky enough to join these talented musicians as the only junior in the group. Although I was first nervous about the new pieces of music and people with whom I had never interacted before, everything went better than expected once I started interacting with others. In fact, this was the first school trip that I've had since COVID hit, so it was such an eye-opening experience.

I not only had the privileged experience of being taught by a guest conductor but also establishing solid relationships with new friends that I've met there. Even through the tiredness of the red-eye flight to school the next day, I realized for the first time that music truly connects souls together.

Together with the seniors :)
