Music has been one of the most important guiding components in my Junior Year. Participating in three different music festivals (Bangkok Music Festival, KAIAC/KIMEA National Honor Festival, AMIS) really opened new doors of experience in music for me. It was my pleasure to get to know different people from various countries who were also passionate about music. Furthermore, I got to become closer with fellow musicians in my school! I will say that traveling to Bangkok, Incheon, and Jeju created the best memories in high school.

I also gained leadership experience by being AMIS viola first chair. It was honestly daunting at first, but I got used to it!

Above is a picture of me (on the left) and other YISS members who participated in the Bangkok Music Festival! I had the time of my life here with great music, food, and people. (p.s. I wrote a post for this special trip as well, so check that out!)

This is my viola gang at AMIS😎 I already miss them so much... I'm grateful that I was able to lead such an amazing group of musicians, and hope to see them next year at AMIS again! I can't wait for the Beijing AMIS!!

Here's a picture of the orchestra performance at KAIAC/KIMEA National Honor Festival. I got to know the conductor who was also the composer of the music we played in the past and were playing for the concert as well! I had fun watching the other performances of band and choir as well.

We can't forget about our Tri-M performance for International Bazaar! I also emceed for this event along with Variety Concert this year~

It was a year full of highs and lows, but that's what makes a beautiful melody, right?

You can find more info in my school's news article about 23-24 music festivals.
