In the last week of May after AP seasons, I led my team to participate in the World Scholar's Cup, an academic competition comprised of the Scholar's Challenge, Scholar's Bowl, Collaborative Writing, and Team Debate. To be honest, it was a difficult choice to sacrifice my weekend right after the AP exams, Student Council Elections, and various other club elections like Forensics, L-Crew, and NHS. It was a rigorous event, requiring us to spend two whole days competing against qualified applicants. However, I was very excited to compete in this special tournament for the very first time with my team members– Eugene Kang and Elleanna Choe. Through our hard work and coordination, the results were successful; my teammates and I were able to place overall 2nd place in the World Scholar's Cup and won many individual medals as well.

Personally, I placed 2nd in both Debate and Essay Writing. For the Scholar's Challenge, I received a silver medal for both Art and Special Area sections. I was also placed as 3rd individual participant from the entire event and was awarded a gold trophy.

As a team, we won first place with a trophy in the Scholar's Bowl, 2nd place gold medal in Essay Writing, and 3rd place silver medal in the Scholar's Challenge. Overall, we were awarded a gold trophy as well.

Here are the awards from the event:

I was so grateful to participate in this academic event with my fellow peers, and look forward to other future events!
